Closer still and a new leader

With less than 600 miles to the finish the Transat Paprec has a new leader this morning in Gaston Morvan and Anne-Claire Le Berre (Région Bretagne-CMB Performance). But the top trio remain within 2.5 miles of each other. Lois Berrëhar and Charlotte Yven on Skipper MACIF are second and  Corentin Horeau and Pauline Courtois third on Mutuelle Bleue. And in fourth Guillaume Pirouelle and Sophie Faguet have pulled back more than ten miles to be just 13 miles behind the leaders.

Morvan and Le Berre gybed to the northwest yesterday evening, their two rivals took time to respond and the Région Bretagne-CMB Performance duo are this morning’s leaders. They lead momentarily on the approach to La Palma a week past on Sunday and this morning they are quickest.
